I too want make my first 2D game in ORX! Whether long it is necessary to study to start to use it. How much it will be difficult. You did games on orx?
Well, orx isn't as user friendly as GameMaker, but on the other side it's also much more powerful.
You'll need to be a minimum familiar with programming and game development process.
